it was on grian that he fell, really, he wasn't paying attention to where he was going. he was admiring his and pearl's building, treeza (he still didnt like that name, but couldnt think of anything better...) when he backed a little too far.

he suddenly felt the ground under him disappear.

of course. he didn't even have an elytra on. he'd lose all his stuff. he was going to have to grind so hard for his stuff back. fantastic.

he sighed as he fell down. screaming would be no help, nor would crying. he knew to be calm and try his hardest not to make himself in a bad mood. so he waited until he fell out of the world.

he waited. and waited. and waited and waited and-

"hold on," he said, trying to move across the dark void.

he floated across, seeing nothing but the usual void you see. there was nothing for kilometers around, and everything felt empty.

then it appeared. it looked like what you would imagine a biblically accurate angel to look like. a hundred eyes spread across its body, halos circling it. its cape flowed majestically around, the stars hidden in the cape's inner side. it wasn't a star pattern, actually stars. they moved and grian saw multiple constellations in there. it had a spherical white head, detached from its body. XD was written on it.

who are you?

it didn't physically say it, but grian heard it in his head.

"grian," he replied, looked at the XD sphere. it felt like the best place to look.

hmm, you're not from our world, are you? you're from a more... powerful one. a more... peaceful, server.

grian nodded. he must've been teleported to a different server. he didn't leave his hermitcraft server often at all, expect for mcc. and even that was rare. he didn't know what other servers would be like. hopefully not too bad.

i do not have the power to teleport you back, i'm afraid. you'll need to find and speak to your own admin and this world's admin. i'm afraid this admin isn't... the best person, to say the least. he will not let you leave unless he wants to. i am sorry.

"wait, you aren't you the admin?" grian asked, confused. this creature looked like a god. how could it not help him?

the spawn looked nice. the rest of the world though, was a post apocalyptic wasteland. creeper holes, half cut down trees, and literally no way to indicate which way you should be going to reach the main 'hub'.

he had spawned with a communicator with him. as soon as he spawned in, it exploded with messages.

he was expecting someone to come zooming in with an elytra or something, but instead a blond boy dropped in with a trident in his hand.

“who the fuck are you?“ he asked, pointing a netherite axe at grian’s chest.

“who are you?” groan joking asked, lowering the boys axe with his finger. the boy glared at him, obviously threatening to cut off his arm. grian gave an awkward cough, and smiled.

“i‘m grian, from the hermitcraft server!”

”okay, so you’re british, judging from your accent. hermitcraft, did you say? isn’t it that server thats like all powerful and peaceful and has rules and shit, innit?” the boy rambled, circling grian and looking him up and down.

”uh, yeah. nice to meet you, but I really must meet the admin so I can go back,” grian said, looking around and checking his communicator to see if anyone was willing to help.

”well, dream is currently in prison, so you’d have to schedule a meeting with sam. wouldn’t recommend that though, becuse dream would probably kill you before letting you go. he‘ll probably ask for some shitty favour or somthin’,” the boy explained.

grian swallowed. why was their admin in prison? that’s not good.

“um, i’ll still try. can you help me, uh... what‘s your name?”

Purple Pandas appreciation post they popped the hell off they did so good!!!

They came what top 4 in all 3 pvp games???? Pete pvp arc real?? Grian misclicking and spawning a creeper on top of him and Oli in Sky Battle, killing them both? Lime throwing for Purple in Parkour Tag? The team's absolutely amazing communication?? Grian being the wool guy for Battle Box and Martyn complimenting his building skills and saying he should join Hermitcraft and make a career out of placing blocks?

Pete being team leader and coming up with strategies left and right? Oli mixing up Martyn and Grian and saying all British people sound the same?? Grian cheering for Aqua in Dodgebolt and changing to Blue because he "loves the drama"? The gong??? The gong not working through Discord so Grian just saying "gonnnnnnnngggggg" really slowly to calm everyone down??Pete getting the top time in Ace Race and coming first overall?? The entire team placing top 24??

Oli making to to top 10 in HitW for the first time?? Grian repeatedly going "flying is my forte" in Ace Race and overshooting the finish line each time anyway? Martyn being so proud of Jimmy for winning and joking that he'd apparently been holding him back, after 180 no-scoping him on the practice server before the event? Grian's tried and true strategy of "follow Fruity B" in TGTTOS? The entire team mourning the loss of Sands of Time multiple times? Grian coming 24th individual, again?

MCC 14 Purple Pandas had fantastic teamwork and communication, they didn't let any mistakes or losses get to them- just acknowledged them, apologized, and moved on- came up with plans for each game and played to their strengths even with the games they didn't think they'd do well in. One of my favourite mcc teams of all time, easily.

This gets a little complicated but... as a hermit, Grian. As just a MCYT, Bdubs.

This is a hard question but... I have to say Etho (yes I admit it I'm an Ethogirl)

Joe - everything I see about him is so unique and hilarious but so far I haven't really gotten into his videos. Maybe someday, though!

🐸 What year did you start watching hermitcraft?

Okay, let's do the story now. In early 2019 I was watching some of Grian's building videos and stumbled onto his Hermitcraft series, which I started watching, got hooked on, and gradually started watching more and more hermits. I was really excited when Bdubs came back towards the end of S6 because I had watched him way back in Attack of the B-Team days, and at some point I learned that he had been in S5 so I went back and watched that. The videos were so familiar and I realized I had seen them before... I had watched his S5... so basically I was watching Hermitcraft before I knew it was Hermitcraft! I only watched Bdubs then, though, and had no idea what was going on on the rest of the server so I consider S6 to be when I started watching Hermitcraft.

Season 6! I watched Grian's series from the beginning and caught up to episodes being currently released right around the time of the Civil War.

Season 7! The Head Games, Hermit challenges, HWF, the Button, Boomers, Shade-E-E's, the mayoral race, Turf War, Decked Out, the Upside Down, HCBBS, Sewer Cats, Aque Town... so much good stuff!

Man, it's hard to choose, but I think my favorite moment(s) were Etho's meetings with Llama Dad in S7. They were so funny and the Etho and Beef vibes are impeccable.

A few! Mostly I watch Tango's Phasmo and stabby streams, and MCC (usually False).

I watch other videos too! I watch just about all the videos of the hermits I'm subscribed to: Traffic series, Empires, Building with Bdoubleo, Naked and Scared, and Etho's singleplayer and modded series are all amazing!

Scar's magical village in S7: the amount of detail was incredible and it truly felt magical. Plus it was only his starter base?!

I would love to team with Pearl! She could teach me some building skills and we could do some shenanigans together, plus she seems super nice.

We’re putting this all under the cut cuz its long, but here is my breakdown of the teams and personal opinions on them.

First of all we've got the Red Rabbits- George, Sapnap, Tubbo and Gumi

Sapnap is going to try to be the leader here and that's gonna be a mistake, the only way this won't dissolve into chaos is if Tubbo gets a say in what happens. Also, they need a designated person for Gumi, cuz she knows kinda these people but I wouldn't say she's close with any of them, and Gumi needs a familiar face to do her best. 

Tubbos has had some shining moments in leading his team even with smaller stuff like the cake thing last mcc. Sapnap needs to not put too much pressure on him or on gumi, especially on SoT. For SoT specifically I worry they're gonna make Gumi be the sand keeper, which needs a lot of training. The biggest reason Ponk did so well as sand keeper was because Hbomb coached him, and without that coaching Gumi might struggle or panic in this role.

Orange Ocelots: False, Grian, Pete, SB

If this were any other MCC I would call it here. This team is too good man, the vibes are gonna be chill and relaxed but everyone is so damn good at the game they would win anyway. Petes a great leader but also knows how to incorporate everyones voice in decisions. In dodge bolt False is gonna clean house.

Yellow Yaks: Smajor, Wilbur, Ranboo and Shubble

This isn't an mcc team this is Smajors excuse to hang out with his friends for a couple hours. Good for him.

That being said, this is Ranboos chance not to stress as much. The thing is, hes going to anyway and that may effect everyone else negatively, which is one hell of a double edged sword. Wilbur works best when hes chilled out and has no stressors or is in control of the stressors. Ranboo and Wilburs anxiety could create an echo chamber OR They could mellow out each other, resulting in perhaps a dodgebolt and at least top five.

They all would benefit with getting survival games of the way first and disregarding sky battle all together. Smajor and Wilbur are probably going to take leading roles if there is any leader, it could be mostly a hive mind situation which would be fun.

Lime Llamas: quig, gemini, whip, Lord Gaming

I don't watch these people all too much but people are excited for Gemini joining and Im excited for them! Just a couple of hermits chilling with quig to lead them to at least one skybattle victory.

Green Guardians Geckos (I love it btw): 5up, jack, niki, Punz

Dear lord I hope that Punz docent put too much pressure on himself this time. You're S-teir, we know, just chill. 5up had a strong first mcc showing, jack and niki are fantastic team players, and Punz is Punz. They would work really well together on Grid Runners, Punz and 5up taking the leadership roles. Communication is going to be solid as a rock, they are all close friends, they know how each other play, and can work well together. 

It would do this team well to take strategy tips from 5up, once he figures out that survival games is basically one big chess board, its gonna be all over for the other teams. I also want to see Niki go apeshit again. All the stress she's been under I want her to take it out on everyone else. Between her and Punz, this could be a really really aggressive team, and that would be to their benefit 

Cyan Coyotes (I love this even more) Karl, Tommy, Dream, Ponk

At face value? This team is OP. Tommy and Dream being on a team together is almost always a guaranteed dodgebolt. However, there’s gonna have to be some emotional stuff that gets unpacked first. They’re all good, but Im honestly not sure how well they mesh together.

Lets start with the obvious, Tommy. He is a fantastic player, hilarious, and keeps his energy up even when things are bad. Last MCC was a bit of a stumbling point because he paid too much attention to posts like these and he tried to script the entire event. After a few problems in sky battle, he lost confidence and it impacted the rest of his game. Part of that could have been because his teammates, but the other part was that confidence. Dream can help him plan out these games, and I’m sure they might be strategizing right now. But hes gotta be able to keep that confidence in the face of adversary, which is hard as fuck.

Ponk can be a bit abrasive when he’s trying to prove himself and combined with Karl being in content mode, they could result in a bit of a feedback loop that could cause tension. If Ponk gets to know his teammates, it could go really well though, because hes a smart, talented player, and with one MCC already under his belt, he can go on to amazing things.

It all kinda rests on how Dream treats his teammates.Karl will be there to knock his ego down a peg while Tommy would be a good co-captain and Ponk there to be the heart of the team. This team has the same chances the Dream-Captain Sparkles team had.

Aqua: Ant, Captain, Kara, Eret

Now this is really really interesting. I’ve wanted an Antfrost and Kara Courvus team up since that one twitch rivals where they teamed with fruitberries. In that event, they became the mom and dad of the group (kara as the dad, ant as the mom) and helped kinda guide the more aggressive players. But in this case, I don't think a single one is going to be aggressive. 

This is a mainly defensive, laid back team, and I hope I get to see Ant gaining some semblance of calm communication during survival games. This is also a great team for grinding, and even for battle box considering Ant consistently goes toe to toe with fruit in practicing. Captains movement has been good in vault hunters and Eret and Kara would be fantastic for call outs and keeping everyone sane and relaxed.

This is also going to be the best pg stream ever, I don't think any of them are going to swear.

Blue Bats: Phil, Sneeg, Burren, and Wisp

I like to think of this team as the adults chilling and being grownups. They've got a maturity that is lacking in some other teams. (yes, I know Sneeg is the one who has ‘yep cock’ in the background when he stream) Winning will be an option, but not the goal, and I can see Phil being a good coach for Sneeg in learning the games. 

Purple Pandas: Ren, Martin, Hbomb, Cub

Who allowed this team to happen?? Scott Major, you have outdone yourself.

I want to see Martin and Hbomb come first and second in ace race. I want the most relaxed SoT you've ever seen. I want them to come into battle box swinging and be uncatchable in parkour tag. They have the capability to do so.

Ren is a natural born leader and Hbomb is good at training before and keeping the team together and moral high. I haven't seen much of Cub but people are excited for him to be on this team so I hold him in high regard as well.

All in all, a serious contender for dodgebolt. Dogwarts shall rise again!

And finally, my beloved: Pink Parrots: Vixella, Fruitberries, Zeus, and Illumina

FRUITNINJA! HELL YEAH!

We know fruit and illumina are cracked. They honestly shouldn't be allowed to team. I am so fucking glad they are. 

That being said, I can see this team getting targeted especially in parkour tag. If Fruit or Illumina are hunting, I could see the other team getting the simmers out fairly quickly for quick points. It depends on how the points are going to be distributed this time around.

Half of me wants to see how they do in build mart. The other half of me thinks that's a terrible idea and I shouldn't want to see that. But that brings me to my main issue with this team: two players can't carry an entire team.

There are a lot of team games they may struggle in, however, they aren't first time players. If they can convince Vixella and Zeus to do some training, they’re gonna be in business. All in all, we might have another Pink win.
